The Andrew Feintuch Award is given in fond memory of Andy Feintuch, co-founder of the Twin County Junior Wrestling League. Andy was also the longtime Director of the Hasbrouck Heights junior wrestling program in addition to 25 years as the Recreation Director.
This award is presented at the yearly regional tournament to an individual who has served the TCJWL with pride and commitment as a coach, program director, coordinator or trustee; exhibiting the leadership and organizational skills which promote our sport in a positive way. The selfless giving of time, effort and good sportsmanship are several of the important traits which characterize award recipients and in turn have help TCJWL to grow and advance within the wrestling community.
Andy passed away while working at the Hasbrouck Heights District tournament in 2000 while doing what he loved to do. He is cherished by those who worked with him and truly affected the lives of countless children at all levels throughout his long tenure.
